One punch, father dies in Orlando. TM NEVER CONSIDER how easily it would have been for GZ to die.

Another tragic case in which a 21 yr. old young man punched his dad one time when he was angered that he found out over dinner his dad was having an affair, apparently the family was vacationing in Orlando. The dad was 52 yrs. old & revived at the scene, the family moved him to Miss. to be closer to his home & he has died 10 days later.

The point: as sad as this is for the family, it ONLY takes one punch to kill someone as we have seen over and over when an aggressor loses his temper. GZ could have easily died as we all know.

    • I saw this story yesterday and tweeted it to Piers Morgan with the comment that if the 21 year old had skittles in his pocket he might have a defense.

    • arttart the statistics in Australia regarding the harm done by people being punched in the head are alarming. This has always been my own beef and it is why I will have nothing of this “he was unarmed” nonsense. In one particular incident an 18 was punched once and was killed as his head struck the concrete ground. The perpetrator was a stranger and he had punched out several other people on the same night.

One lucky man had injuries that could have been permanent. He is still not working, but his mum and dad are very articulate on the whole matter. Actually, that man was lucky because ambulance officers were on hand inside the McDonald’s store. The incident happened outside when a stranger punched the man and he landed on the ground.

I have not heard the fate of the Russian man, but they did request that his family come to Australia so it seemed to be dire.

The message needs to get out that throwing a punch can be fatal.

  2. This is the type of discussion that folks needed to be having if they really wanted Trayvon’s life and legacy to have meaning.

Instead, we get Holder lamenting the fact that he had to have ‘the talk’ with his son that if he dressed like a convenience store robber from the 6:00 o’clock news, he might draw suspicion…

  3. GREAT Picture of West/MOM/Mark Garagos dining at one of the most expensive restaurants in New York! They deserve it!

Something to celebrate? Zimmerman’s lawyers round off media blitz with dinner at top New York restaurant the day before Trayvon’s parents go on air to hit back

Mark O’Mara and Don West were spotted lunching at an exclusive New York restaurant on Wednesday

They’ve spent the past few days talking to the media about their client’s acquittal

Trayvon Martin’s parents face the media for the first time since the not guilty verdict on Thursday
They’re scheduled to speak to NBC’s ‘Today’ show and CNN’s Anderson Cooper.

The exclusive Upper East Side joint is well known for being ‘absurdly expensive’ and is typically a hangout for celebrities – such as Jay Z – and wannabe socialites.

Joining them for their celebratory lunch was criminal lawyer and CNN analysis Mark Geragos, who has been a regular fixture on the channel throughout the case and was highly complementary of their work.

  4. I’ve been wondering why Rachel Jeantel admitted to and told the jury that Trayvon called George a “Creepy A$$ Cracka” and a “Ni**a”. The only thing I could think of was because she was upset with Sybrina for making her get up on the stand and wanted to embarrass her. But I think she reveals the reason in this interview with Al Sharpton (see link below). It was because she wanted the jury to think she was being honest with them in everything she was about to say about that night and knew she would be lying. I think she thought if she revealed such a horrid detail then that would be on way to seal her credibility issue along with admitting to her prior lies.

I don’t know if I’ve seen all the post-verdict interviews from Rachel but I have seen several. In each one her story has evolved. E.g., She now says that she thinks Trayvon threw the first punch! You can tell she’s been coached and she says she was determined not to let them break her. Break her from what? Her lies? The REAL story? Or maybe she just means break her in the sense that she loses her temper. You can also tell she weighs her words carefully and then uses her odd way of pausing and blurting out single words that seem to not have anything to do with question or stops in mid thought as a tactic to confuse everyone. She also catches herself lying and admits it or backtracks to try to cover up for it.

She also states that she told her story before the 911 tapes were released and they match up with the 911 tapes? I haven’t done the leg work, but I don’t think that is true. Is it? Do any of you remember when she told her story to Sybrina and when the 911 tapes were released? I know that Tracy and the family heard it very early on before it was released, but is it possible they were allowed a copy before the release? Or am I being too much of a conspiracy theorist?

What do you all think about Rachel post-verdict?

    • For some reason, I thought her statements and the 911 tape came out about the same time. I think Crump had FOIA request placed on those recordings and may have had access to them before they went public, but I don’t understand how Rachel believes the “911” or the NEN supports her testimony. I think the NEN recording was released before her interview though.

      • Crump got the tapes released on March 16th. According to Rachel’s testimony, Tracy called her on March 17th. She interviewed with Crump on March 19th. Crump’s press conference was on March 20th.

        • Thanks, Nettles. IMHO, her testimony (which isn’t really all that much information) matches up way too closely with the NEN tape and George’s interviews. E.g., Singleton telling George don’t you think the kid (TM) might have seen you as CREEPY? Thus, Creepy A$$ Crackas.

    • Listen to the interview with Vinnie Politan standing in for Nancy Grace. Start at around the 21 sec mark, listen to around 22:18 mark. In referencing how she became involved… Paraphrasing…I thought SHE was the last one, I was the last one…

Also, in the interview she says Tracy contacted her and says something about it only being 2 days after Trayvon died. Mark 23:47

      • Here is the inteview for those who missed it. This interview and the one with Ryan is going to destroy any civil lawsuit the Martin family had hoped to bring, imo.

        • At 21:30 Vinnie asks Rachel how she reacted to hear Trayvon was killed shortly after she talked to him. At 22:17 Rachel clearly says, “…when everything came out, she was the last one…..I was the last one…Nobody heard nothing, nobody saw nothing, so I became the voice of Trayvon.”

        • around the 12:45 mark

VINNIE: How were you prepared to testify? was there a rehearsal, did anyone sit you down and um say this is the way you should testify these are the things you should do these are the things you shouldn’t do

RACHEL: blah, blah, blah…and the state, they told me, remember distinguish focus … don’t try to make obvious… don’t give a lot of detail…

        • This video, and the others I have seen, make me think she has some sort of ear piece telling her what to say and she goes about it with whatever she wants. As stated, all her interviews are diff. I say let the fool talk. its going to make matters so bad and possible even for her. One can only hope. Oh I know quite a few teens and NONE OF THEM refer to ea other as teenagers…Coached without a doubt

      • Yes, that is what she said. Rachel Jeantel is a gift who keeps giving. Sooner or later she is going to tell the real truth about who was on the phone and whether or not anything was heard.

Her whole testimony was a Crump construct.

    • Of course, all the 911 calls happened after Rachel’s call ended. There is nothing to match up. What they used was George’s non-emergency call. Who knows if Trayvon told Rachel he was running but they used it in Rachel’s version to give some credibility.

      • Yes, I agree. It was NEN that was used along with police interviews with George and news reports. E.g., she says he put his hoodie on because it was raining. She wanted to insert that because of all the media coverage and give it credence that that is part of the reason GZ found TM suspicious. I think that maybe as reports were released her story somewhat grew to include some key points in those interviews. And now, she’s talking and revealing things. E.g., in the BDLR interview she says TM would never fight. He’s not that way. Now she’s saying he probably threw the first punch and gave him an azz whoopin’.

BTW, can the defense depo of Rachel be released through FOIA?

I was very surprised that Vinnie Politan was asking such probing questions. I wonder if it is because he wants to disprove the defense’s theory of TM lying in wait for George or if he maybe thinks there is some validity to the defense’s argument. But he is openly pro prosecution. Rachel conveniently doesn’t remember much of the small talk in those last four minutes. She also contradicts herself. She says that TM was running and breathing and talking loud when before she said he was talking low.

She is such a liar you do not know what to believe. I don’t mean to sound harsh, I’m just being point blank.

I’m worried the DOJ will trump up some silly charge against George. Disgusting.

        • I was surprised too at some of the questions. He tried spin of the answers to disprove the defense theory. For instance, the missing 4 minutes. He asked her if they talked about anything else other than being followed. Oh yes she says, he asked her to check if the All Star Game had started. She left the bathroom and went and checked. So Vinnie decides this proves TM wasn’t planning an attack on GZ. How about this proves he wasn’t all that scared and afraid of GZ.

          • LOL, I know. But I think Vinnie is still a little unclear and has resigned himself to the fact that he’s not going to get a good answer to either allay or confirm his opinion of what really happened that night. He appears to be sticking to his TM is innocent opinion. I don’t see how he is so blinded in the first place.

            • Of all the interviews I’ve seen Rachel do, to my utter shock, it was Vinnie Politan who asked the most probing questions.

His interview did give some nuggets that will be helpful to block any potentional civil suits against George.

              • I agree, Nettles. I’m pretty sure no one expected that from Vinnie at all. I know I didn’t. Like I said somewhere on here, I truly wonder if he has some doubts, but didn’t get enough information out of her to change his mind or voice his suspicions.

                • I agree he didn’t probe enough. I think he felt delving deeper would have been a waste of time due to the slow and confusing nature of her answers and he wanted to get to other questions. I don’t mean to take up for Vinnie because I don’t like him. I just think the reasons I gave are why he didn’t probe further.

        • Defense deposition of RJ is now a public document. Florida Sunshine law will get it to you. Just call the clerk of the court, describe the document you want, and you’ll get it. It is just as public as the live testimony given at trial.

    • Agreed.

and it is morbid curiosity that has me watching her. I think she is laughing at people like Piers.

I made the mistake of sending an email to CTH in response to SD post yesterday

I received a nasty response within a few minutes from YTZ, sad, unnecessary and downright hypocritical.

      • Cassandra, I’m sorry you were so rudely responded to by YTZ. I had the same thing happen to me with Sharon when I made a comment over there about having watched HLN a few times to see how they were spinning things. She was hateful and condescending toward me. I was very shocked. I replied and she did not allow my reply when I called her out on a few things (nicely but pointedly) and then I wrote a different reply and she allowed it. I forgive her, but oh.MY. I felt like I was back in the 15th century reliving the Spanish Inquisition.

        • thanks, I shouldn’t have been surprised. no harm just kinda surprised since it seems so petty and unnecessary.

          • I have found many of your comments to people on CTH to be petty and arrogant. I don’t comment over there, but I read. I personally wasn’t surprised when you were shown the door. I find you to be a very hostile and angry person and you’re forever talking about how you’re in conflict in your community. I certainly would give you a wide berth and wouldn’t listen to anything you had to share in a community gathering as a result.

        • I have never known Sharon to be rude or hurtful to anyone. I do not think that’s possible for her. Golly, could this be the new and improved Sharon? Where and when did this miracle happen? I’ve always hoped for her to simply say a negative word or something, anything, but I’d have to see it for myself, I suppose.

        • Intent is often hard to determine without body language cues. They have made no secret of the fact that they are swamped and have no patience left. Unfortunately for them, it’s even gotten worse post-verdict, not better because the TM blowup in the media.

      • Why do you constantly obsess with CTH and snipe about them? They make no secret of the fact that they find the majority of commenters who only arrived when they took on the GZ thing annoying and they wish they would leave. I think the quote is, “we want our porch back”.

  5. JUDGE Jeannine Pirrro RIPS Prosecutor!

JUDGE JEANINE PIRRO: On ‘Justice,’ Judge Jeanine Pirro reacted to the George Zimmerman not guilty verdict in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. She questioned why special prosecutor Angela Corey brought charges against Zimmerman to begin with. Watch the video, above, and check out the full transcript of Judge Jeanine’s Opening Statement, below.

In the wake of this verdict, many are asking should charges have even been brought in this case in the first place and did the police chief and the state’s attorney, now no longer in those positions, initially make the correct call in not filing charges? Did the special prosecutor appointed by the governor file charges because of political pressure?

  6. Sybrina/Tracy/Crump Make the MEDIA BLITZ Spreading LIES!

Fulton says the role of RACIAL profiling in the death of her son is “obvious.”

The parents’ attorney, Benjamin Crump, said they will consider a civil suit against Zimmerman, but did not confirm how their legal team will move forward in the months ahead.

“We’ll look at all legal options. Right now, we’ll ask the Department of Justice to answer … ‘Can a private citizen with a gun profile and follow our children home?'”

“We need to know because we’ve got to know what to tell our children,” Crump said

Fulton called on President Obama to “at the least … investigate what happened.”

    • I really wish Huckabee would stop complimenting Sybrina and Tracy for being people of great faith and grace. Not true. They are manipulators and are trying to profit at the expense of ruining George’s life.

You claim “you would DEFINE TM!!” Too late, TM DEFINED TM, not you, the fascination w/being a wannabe fighter, a wannabe Gansta, a thief, a drug user, interested in scoring a “piece.” THAT is the legacy of the REAL TM, NOT the fabricated bull chit of the person they wanted the public to think TM was because THEY WERE ASHAMED OF TM!

Crump, imo, is waiting to see what the DOJ does, how much pressure can be applied to Holder BEFORE they proceed with a Civil Suit.

    • Completely accurate and on point. Nice to see O’Reilly has something meaningful to contribute. I cringed with his earlier pandering to Crump, claiming he was a stand up guy.

  7. Sundance has a very astute post yesterday worth reading.

Sundance is asking questions that have dominated my thoughts for most of last year.

Finally I feel confidant to connect the dots, I strongly suspect that Trayvon’s brutal beatdown was planned during his 4 minute lay in wait. He waited for George to hang up the phone with the cops and then punished him for snitching. Trayvon to George “You got a problem”
4 minutes earlier Trayvon’s purpose when checking out George in the car talking with dispatch was to determine if George was security or an undercover cop.

It makes too much sense. The PC optics are the enemy.

    • No, MOM does not want to in any way seem to revel in the triumph.

Nor will he challenge Sybrina’s intention to define her son’s memory.

The tension between the races continues, the question of who is allowed to judge black youth criminal behavior continues. This is white guilt manifested and empowering thug culture to maintain it’s control, “what you looking at” or snitching will bring punishment by violent anti-social black youth.

      • I agree that he shouldn’t be reveling and gloating, but I would at least think he would announce the victory to show that, indeed, George is not guilty. I don’t like it that he coddles the Martin family. They have lied so much in this case and it is because of them and their antics that George is forever a marked man, GZ’s family is marked and our nation is racially divided and set back 50 years.

        • Can’t disagree.

I am rather sensitive to the fact that many who claim GZ is not guilty have a tendency to suggest he did something wrong to cause the incident. I strongly disagree.

In my area (borrowing from jeantel) we talk much harsher than GZ did about the criminals and are so traumatized by their violence we have little if any sympathy, we are in fear instead. My neighborhood is extremely diverse in every manner, across the street is a Cal math prof, and around the corner last night at 7pm a gang member had his brain blow out in a hail of bullets.

I truly hope GZ does not internalize the hate and blame so many have burden him with.
I am not so sure I could handle it. I took a lot of heat and hate for leadership against crime, it nearly broke my spirit.

          • cassandra shared:
I am rather sensitive to the fact that many who claim GZ is not guilty have a tendency to suggest he did something wrong to cause the incident. I strongly disagree.

cassandra ~ I wholeheartedly agree. GZ was found NOT GUILTY but many want to continue to blame GZ for having the SNOT beaten out of him by TM, as if somehow TM had no choice. MADDENING are those that NEVER state TM was astride GZ giving the beat down, they act as if that NEVER happened.

Of course, GZ & TM could have made different choices that night, BUT, we can’t be concerned with would a, could a, should a, but the facts of the event that did happen & led to GZ having to defend himself against the assault by TM.

    • If you don’t know the back story, with all the lies and manipulations, you could easily feel sorry for them. Unfortunately, we know this is a false family image.

I might be wrong, but I don’t think there will be a civil suit. There would be no way they would be able to stop the truth from coming out and their odds of winning with be very, very low. If they lose, it will cost them financially and will tarnish the image of Trayvon they created forever. Instead, they will push the race issue and their foundation. The trash can tours will continue for awhile and they will surface now and then, but for the most part, fade away. They’ll have to be satisfied with HOA settlement and Crump will find another “victim” to pad his pockets.

    • I will NEVER AGAIN watch DD/Diamond/Catfish! A self absorbed POS, borderline illiterate & doesn’t grasp that she hurt the States case, the JURY DIDN’T BELIEVE HER! It’s not about DD being black or white, it’s about disrespecting the Court Room & Don West, her blatant disrespect for authority, her stupidity, & her “ghettotude.”

I am APon TV & they are happy to kiss the butts of DD/Sybrina/Tracy/Crump UNTIL there is a bigger case to chase.

DD’s voice makes my skin crawl, looking at her burns my eyes, the LIES continue to anger me, how sad she is given a pulpit to promote herself & her lies. Pathetic, imo. Vinnie P looked like an idiot, so did Piers Morgan imo.

      • I liked the questions that Vinnie asked and I wish he would have pushed just a little bit harder. I doubt Rachel was expecting such probing questions. You could tell she was uncomfortable with some of them.

        • dawndoe ~ I respect everyone’s right to watch DD/Diamond/Catfish, & no doubt the more she talks, the more she spins, she’s going to step in it pretty soon if she doesn’t shut up, which, would be good as many have pointed out for the Defense/GZ.

I personally won’t waste my time on the skank, There is so much available in the case to read & catch up on, I can’t keep up. I will read the comments of everyone else on DD. LMAO, did you see where she said she had a 3.0 academic average? Yet she remains in school & can’t read at 19 yrs. old with NO ONE calling her out for the lies. You can’t make this up, well, unless your DD, Sybrina, Tracy, Crump, & the USUAL Suspects!

  8. These interviews by Rachel and the Martins are helping the Defense in preparing for any possible Civil suit.

  9. What I want to see is Sybrina and Alicia on the same stage…

Heck, I might even settle for Sybrina and Rachel…

    • Is Travyon a father? WELL! TM has an estate, MAYBE that’s why the lawsuit against the HOA was for the “estate of TM.”

IF in fact, TM has a child, LMAO, the MONIES go to the child, NOT SYBRINA/TRACY!

    • Awesome! We spotted him in the courtroom on June 1st and hoped he would be a part of the case. Turns out we were right, he was there but obviously wasn’t needed in the case.

In reading his blog, he stayed silent b/c he might have been needed as an expert. I’m looking forward to reading his blog on the case. Bookmark this one.

  10. Omgosh! I’m crazy about Massad!! xo I watched many of his videos on youtube last year. STELLAR!
“Shoot to live (pt2 I believe) was out standing.
I was thinking about him and another expert who is entertaining to listen to (dang! name escapes me– may be a professor. small stature, light hair–help) during the trial and was wondering if they were watching or if West /O’mara had conferred with them at some point, well especially Massad.

    Thanks for posting freega!!!

  11. I wonder if the jurors feel alone. If all they are watching is the MSM, then are they even aware that there is support for their verdict and for George Zimmerman? I sure hope so. FOX News is the only outlet that I’m aware of that is showing any support for George Zimmerman. I guess we can only hope that they will type into their search engine: “support for jurors or george zimmerman.”

    • I thought Anderson Cooper’s show has been pretty balanced but I note he has not had O’Mara and/or West on his program. I wonder why? His decision or theirs?

I noted Don West did not appear on Piers Morgan with Mark O’Mara. The night before Piers had Rachel on and seemed to insinuate that West had been unfair to Rachel. He even went so far to show the ice cream cone and told the public West’s daughter posted it about Rachel. I was not surprised to see Don West missing from the interview the next night.

  12. Oh brother… I can’t believe they’re even comparing OJ’s verdict of not guilty in the brutal murder of Nicole and Ron to Zimmerman’s verdict. I hope Kim Goldman is not seeing these two trials as both unjust verdicts …

    • There is just as much evidence to support a civil suit by George against the parents for Trayvon’s actions that night. We now know he threw the first punch and this started as a hate crime (gay bashing).

    • Oh my goodness Nettles! This is very surprising in a good way to hear Charles Barkley say he agreed with the verdict, there are black racist as well as white racist and that he watched this trial very closely and didn’t like the racist agenda. I hope more people hear that interview.

      • rejoicenhim – I was shocked to read former President Jimmy Carter stated the Verdict was correct, GZ was NOT GUILTY. I am NO fan of President C, but I am glad he read the facts before opening his mouth.

I am hoping more distance themselves from the backlash, apparently, Governor Scott has distanced himself from the Case by saying the verdict should be respected & SYG will stand as the taxpayers want the law.

Hopefully, the backlash will lose momentum as there doesn’t appear to be any laws that would support the pressure applied to the DOJ. Sybrina WANTS the President to study the case. LOL, after all, TM could have been Obama’s son.

        • arttart I could take surprises like this all the time! I was also upset with Scott for bending under political pressure in assigning Corey to the case, but good for him for standing by the verdict and SYG! Even Jimmy Carter! This is good news….. (Obama probably wishes he could distance himself from his earlier comments as well)

  13. Rachel messes up and talks about someone else being the last one to talk to Trayvon:

    “She was the last one…..”

Then she hurriedly corrects herself, i mean “I was the last one.”

This whole thing was invented by Crump and company. Listen to the first interview with DD. Does that sound like the new Rachel?

I wonder if we will ever learn about how corrupt this case was from the beginning.

    • It sounds like her to me. If you’ve seen all these videos from the trial to the current interviews, you can that Rachel changes her tone, speed, pronunciation, volume, etc. when speaking, depending upon the audience. Crump gave her time to tell her story. Allegedly, she was alone while recounting her story to Crump with fairly minimal interruptions. I mean not interruptions like on the witness stand. Remember this was very early in the case so she was not as leary to give her testimony. The way she speaks is the same in all three pre-trial interviews “he rrrrran,” “I told him to rrrrrun,” “this man was wwwwatchin’ him.” Now, there “may” be a second “DD,” but I believe Rachel was the only one on the pre-trial tapes. IMHO.

      • the “she was the last one”, plus her statements that someone else was texting Trayvon that day is interesting. A poster on CTH suggested she may have been speaking in the 3rd person, which is very probable, but I can’t shake it being a possible slip. I agree with you dawn about there possibly being 2 DDs, and I think that is her on the pre trial tapes as well (maybe she was willing to go along with the narrative and the other didn’t want anything to do with this)

        • I can see where she may have been speaking in third person, but I also wouldn’t put it past the scheme team to have a second “DD” if they needed one.

  14. Justice Department places ‘HOLD’ on Trayvon Martin trial evidence, including George Zimmerman’s gun – which Florida law says must be returned to him

The U.S. Department of Justice, overseen by Attorney General Eric Holder, has ordered the Sanford, Florida police department to keep possession of all the evidence from George Zimmerman’s second-degree murder trial – including the exonerated neighborhood watch volunteer’s gun.

Sanford police confirmed on Thursday that the DOJ asked the agency not to return any pieces of evidence to their owners. Zimmerman was expected to get his firearm back by month’s end.

I knew when MOM stated in an interview “GZ would get his gun back,”was a BIG mistake, even if true, it has drawn a lot of unnecessary criticism. Though I think MOM/West can take them to task, I am WORRIED about the dishonesty of Holder & the DOJ. So many Attorneys/Legal Analyst have stated the DOJ doesn’t have a case, but hell, they didn’t have a case when Corey charged GZ w/2nd degree murder.

Sybrina ONLY wanted an arrest, she claimed she would let the Judicial system work, she would respect the verdict, BUT, Sybrina WANTED so much more. The lynching isn’t over.

  15. Remember during the trial Daryl Parks was hopping from media outlet to media outlet saying the Martins believe that anyone who thinks this case is about race has got it wrong……well, that lasted less than a week!

  16. Has anyone considered the possibility that two girls were talking with Trayvon that night? On speaker phone, conference call or just passing the phone between them? Just tossing that out.
