Merry Christmas

  1. MERRY CHRISTMAS to each and every one of you whose eyes read this post. “Friend or Foe” God put us each on this Earth for a purpose. I do not believe it was for any reason but for GOOD. Don’t let the Devil take up space in your heart. Fill it with Love. With so many things that do have reasons to make us sad or angry or lonely for a loved one, I pray humbly that God wraps His Loving arms tightly and heals you and provides you Comfort and Peace, Not only during this Season that we Celebrate Jesus Birth, but each and everyday. Have Christmas in your heart always,

Whatever you religious belief you celebrate, may it be shared with someone special!

How do you Celebrate this Magical time of year? Any special “have to have food”? I love hearing special traditions and stories from different areas and times.

Merry Christmas Annette, and to each other Blog owner who has allowed us to come together to share different things. Speculate, share opinions, and learn even disagree.

  2. Merry Christmas. I’m just waiting for the others to finish getting ready for Christmas Eve mass. On the way home we’re going to stop and get our traditional Christmas Eve tamales. It’s a tradition in Texas.

    • The family used the Crump-Jackson media playbook, control the information and make the tragedy interesting. Don’t beleive everything you read, the family lied repeatedly and slandered the hospital shamelessly.

      • I have been reading up on the story. Thanks.

I have come to realize that ANY STORY we read/hear about is for a reason/agenda. There are a multitude of same type stories we never hear about.

    • Thankfully, I missed a lot of them too. To search, use your internet search engine. Put “annettekblog.wordpress.com” and “DannyWarrior says” and his comments will show up.

    • Happy Birthday Sharon!

As we get older we tend to forget things. Here are 3 things you CAN forget.

      1) Forget the past; you can’t change it.

      2) Forget the future; you can’t predict it.

      3) Forget the present; I didn’t get you one. πŸ™‚

May all your wishes come true. Happy Birthday!

      • I am anti-materialist to a fault, I weened my kids off stuff for gifts by 10, I gave event tickets instead, music, film, museum trips. I am stealing this clever adage.

    • Sharon ~ I can’t believe I missed your birthday, I’ve been out of pocket for a few days.

I have always thought that those that have an Easter birthday or Christmas birthday were doubly blessed, were special to share their birthday w/the most religious holidays we share as Americans. God Bless, sending G R E A T Karma your way for 2014!

  3. Merry Christmas Nettles and all who post here.

Since the GZ case we do all seem to be part of a broad “Cyber family” of blogs and posters πŸ˜€

I am reminded of one name (poster) who is absent “Diwataman”.

Does anybody know what Dman is up to?

    • I miss him too. Although in the virtual world, I had to divorce him. πŸ˜‰

I suspect he got fed up with and realized GZ and his family wouldn’t be taking on the people who were corrupt and allowed the injustice to occur.

I recall a post from him just before the trial started saying he needed to take a break and the outcome of the trial mattered not to why he had gotten involved in the case.

Last we heard from him here, he posted that he knew of some obscure YouTube posters that DannyWarrior was referencing. I never did find out what that was all about.

If you still read here Diwataman, give us a Christmas present and say hey, let us know how you are doing.

      • Thanks Nettles.
He went “off the grid” while I was also “off the grid” on a 5 week vacation… thought I might have missed something.
I still find it strange he vanished totally even from CTH.. and his own blog.
Merry Christmas Dman if you read here. πŸ˜€

        • He has a 4 year old, internet blogging can be an obsession and is very time consuming. I only read and participate because I am retired with grown children.

    • I checked to be sure I was still subscribed to all of his posts and I am. I surely miss his views on many of the issues. It is so tragic that all of the evil doers in this saga will most likely go unpunished.

  4. Thank you for all my birthday wishes. My older cousin just told me that she remembered when I was born and couldn’t understand it because it was Christmas. She didn’t think that was supposed to happen on Christmas Day. LOL

    • Nettles ~ there have been many news people that have been abducted or murdered over the years, most of them were stalked, threatened repeatedly & imo, that’s why this jokester was pursued, most of them assaulted or murdered were women. I remember in one case, the young woman was never found, one was murdered by an up stairs stalker in her apartment complex & pushed his way in when she opened her door to let her dog out, murdered/raped the news caster. The stalking laws are weak in our country & stalkers sometimes stalk their prey for years before they have to serve any real time.

It seems in many of the cases, the murderers THINK the news person is talking directly to them, they have mental health issues.

A & E was receiving DEATH Threats over Duck Dynasty by some out raged fans. A & E has responded to the blow back by showing an 11-hr. Duck Marathon starring “Phil.” Many think because if they use the internet they are anonymous they can threaten someone’s life but they really aren’t & the receiver of the threat can have them tracked down/charged if LE sees them as viable threats.

  5. Getting online after having such enjoyment from visiting with my family and friends! Hoping the everyone has/has a full tummy and heart! Have many more lil activities and get togethers thru New Years Day.

Happy Belated Birthday Sharon! Hope it was the best so far and full of love and suprises πŸ™‚ Hugs Mimi

  6. I read this earlier and wanted to share:

One day a farmer’s donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn’t worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone’s amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer’s neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

    MORAL :
Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

    1. Free your heart from hatred – Forgive.

    2. Free your mind from worries – Most never happens.

    3. Live simply and appreciate what you have.

    4. Give more.

    5. Expect less from people but more from yourself.

You have two choices… smile and close this page,
or pass this along to someone else to share the lesson

    • mimi ~ thanks for sharing.

      # 3 is a good reminder in times that many find their “happiness” in material things or as a sign of success INSTEAD of finding that happiness comes from with in.

      • Your welcome. Yes, if you don’t have happiness from within, imho, material things are just that. If you have happiness within, you can find good and pleasure in just about anything. Hope you had and are continuing to have a Merry Christmas~ I think we are going bargain hunting this weekend. Oh I received the most precious gift, it is a necklace, made out of little metal circles small heart on top, with mimi, then a lil larger circle with 2 oldest grandsons names, then larger with 2 babies. I just love it. Not fancy just special.

      • cassandra ~ was this the same as a “flash mob” or are flash mobs just for entertaining? Have you see this happen in Ca.?

I never thought about how so many gathered at once, but I agree, they probably used texting.

        • the media co-option of flash mob for wilding style attacks is an attempt to soften the criminality and is not a flash mob which is meant to delight not frightened the public.

social media makes it fast and easy to convene the mob, or blow out a private party. All kinds of mayhem happens in California just as Florida. The problem is the social norms of some youth, underclass, violent and abusive.

        • White girl bleed (sic) a lot; The Return of Racial Violence to America and How the Media Ignore It
          Colin Flaherty

          From the Author
I wrote this book for the people who deny we are in the midst of an epidemic of racial violence.

There are lots of them out there: Reporters. Liberals. Police administrators. Editors. Mayors. Ten years ago, this would have been a he said/she said story. But no more. Today we have thousands of videos of black mob violence. In cities big and small.

Today, for the first time, you can follow these videos on your computer or your smart phone as your read the book. All you have to do is hit a link or scan the QR code.

          Very easy.

This book offers no grand causes. No grand solutions. Neither does it apologize. It is written without racism. Without rancor. Just the facts: One after another. The violence. Then denial in the press.

          Over and over and over.

Here is what I have learned from writing this book: Many, many people around the country are relieved that someone is telling the truth about racial violence. And doing it without racism.

Unless, of course, you think facts are racist. Don’t laugh. Some do. Those folks need a copy of White Girl Bleed a Lot as well.

Lots and lots of copies of this book have been presented to liberal brothers-in-law at a family gathering with the admonition: “Read this, you blankety blank expletive deleted.”

Lots and lots of cops read this book too. They are the sources for many of the stories.

When you are finished reading it, I hope you will come over to my web site and let me know what your think. Or @ColinFlaherty on Twitter.

      • I agree, texting would have to be the way to reach that huge number. You know they didn’t just have a meeting and decide. Every Generation has there teen issues, and most of the time the youth do grow out of it and see how wrong it was, “in the good ole days” or how reflect on how they did things but “its nothing like it is today”. I can honestly say, I never harmed anyone or anyone property. I do not understand what people get from it. They sure don’t like it if someone does it to them. Instead of treating people as they wish to be treated, its like do unto others before they do it to you. So much anger out there in this world, that I think some prob don’t even remember what it was/is that they are angry about. Surly anger is why they do so much damage, right? I mean people who are happy or secure in their own skins an heart, don’t do mean things, Right?

        • Mimi, my thought is that many have replaced the golden rule with “don’t get mad, get even”. Kids taught no respect for themselves and others by parents, will look for status with their peers by being the meanest, the toughest etc. Love and respect in the upbringing makes the difference. When it’s not there, it’s tragic and heartbreaking.

              • You guys are so easy to get along with!!

Like mimi I can’t imagine harming someone of breaking property. When going of age my neighborhood friends tried the egg throwing at passing cars vandalism, after the first egg, I left, guilt replaced any desire to be a part of the group. I was about 12, I think it was the summer between 6th and 7th grade, we started doing stupid stuff ring and ran etc.

  7. ONLY in Florida, I was surprised to read about the 600 person brawl resulting from youths trying to storm the cinema. Will this be the next trend since less is being reported on the “knock out punch game?”

SIX HUNDRED strong brawl broke out at movie theater on Christmas Day after mob of teens tried to storm cinema without paying!

More than 600 people involved in brawl outside the Hollywood River City 14 movie theater in Jacksonville, Florida on Wednesday night.

Fight started when group tried to storm theater without buying tickets.

That sparked parking lot brawl with more than 60 police officers called in
    Five young people were arrested.

      • That’s what I saw too. Sad, it made the news huh. I mean, no matter what they do or happens, it will make the news. That’s sad. No matter who it is. I know I posted here, but why is it even news? Slow news day? Doubt it. Did laugh for a sec when Yancy Faith said, was it her mother drunk that hit her… goodness lol

        • I will be glad when the divorce is over. I wouldn’t care how that goes if money didn’t mean security for George. Wish they could all just go back to being ordinary citizens that none of us ever hear about.

          • To me it is just a divorce as any other would be and IMHO it is not any of our business. I just think it is none of our business. NO MATTER WHO IT IS DIVORCING. I don’t understand that about the so called Sunshine Laws. Why is that public knowledge?

And those creepy stalking picture snappers who were after GZ and he posted their tag #, smh posting that they had the EXCLUSIVE pictures of SZ leaving the hospital in a wheelchair. Sent all the news stations a tweet, peddling their wares… WOW program stopping breaking news NOT!

  8. @winsome up thread… about prank phone calls… Did you ever watch that movie, not the remake, I KNOW WHO YOU ARE AND SAW WHAT YOU DID? I remb my Mom telling us about it when we were young, I think I was in about 5th grade. Then it was on tv. LOL I never made any prank, that movie scared me on that haha. Its on youtube if you haven’t seen it. I remb one time one of my bro was in 5th grade, this lil girl about 3rd called our house and was PRANK Calling, my Mom said, blah blah that ok, calling the police right now. LMBO it was about 10 min later, same lil girl called back, trying to pretend to be HER OWN MOTHER, trying to change her voice and all. Asking my Mom if “insert girl name” said blah bla blah. She (as Mother) was almost verbatim as in prior call. She told my Mom she would take care of this lil girl and all that she was going to do to her. We were sitting listening to Mom talk wondering what in the world was going on. You could tell she was trying not to laugh. Funniest thing was, we were on a party line at the time, and it was a little girl on our party line, but over at someone elses house. We still laugh about it, well over 40 yrs ago.

    • Mimi, no I’ve never seen I KNOW WHO YOU ARE AND SAW WHAT YOU DID… but just that title alone scares me πŸ™‚ Most of our prank calls were the old silly ones like “is your refrigerator running? Yes, well go catch it” or if the drug store ” had Prince Albert in a can, please let him out”. Bet that tells you how ancient I am LOL.

      • LOL these 2 teens and one of the teens lil sister was making prake calls and say “I know who you are and I saw what you did” Well one of the numbers they called, guy killed his wife lol. Oh and Joan Collins ole Mommy Dearest herself is in it. I watched it here while back on YouTube. Don’t watch at night or by self hehehehe. Not scary like a lot of todays movies, but still kinda jumpy stuff in it πŸ™‚

  9. It was ONLY a matter of time BEFORE A & E lifted “Phil/Duck Dynasty” from suspension. A & E apparently did suffer blow back receiving death threats, boycotting of their station, a petition started w/over 250,000 names thus far. They drew a lot of criticism also from other MEDIA outlets.

What’s a scandal WITHOUT serial grifter Jesse Jackson weighing in & DEMANDING a meeting w/A & E, as if they give a rat’s ass what Jesse Jackson has to say, IT’S ABOUT THE $$$ STUPID! J Jackson even went so far as saying “Phil was worse than the driver of the bus Rosa Park was driving.”

Seems J Jackson is the LAST one that should point fingers imo, it was J Jackson that got an attorney pregnant w/his “Rainbow Coalition,” scandalous LOL, she demanded child support immediately & this happened WHEN J Jackson was at the White House advising Bill & Hillary Clinton on the Monica Lewinsky scandal. I swear you can’t make this stuff up but I am forever amazed at the incompetence of those that think the public has forgotten! Even J Jackson’s wife slung mud at the woman J Jackson got pregnant & NEVER held J Jackson responsible. I find it irksome that J Jackson no doubt thinks he should be forgiven but he is not willing to forgive Phil.

What a much deserved bitch slap A & E has dealt J Jackson, his son was a Congressman & is serving time in a Federal Prison now, his wife will serve her time when her husband has completed his. Maybe J Jackson should consider putting money in his son’s commissary account & STAY of other folks business, jmo.

    • Plain Ole Dave ~ T H A N K S for the info on BK!

I guess Ben K. gets a NEW Judge!

To disqualify or remove oneself as a judge over a particular proceeding because of one’s conflict of interest. Recusal, or the judge’s act of disqualifying himself or herself from presiding over a proceeding, is based on the Maxim that judges are charged with a duty of impartiality in administering justice.

      I N T E R E S T I N G!

  10. WFTV, News 13 look at 2013, George Zimmerman verdict!

Greg Warmoth offers a 2013 retrospective on “Central Florida Spotlight” at 12:30 p.m. Sunday on WFTV-Channel 9. The program will repeat interviews with Chief Judge Belvin Perry Jr., who opens up about the Casey Anthony case, and defense attorney Mark O’Mara, who talked to Warmoth shortly after client George Zimmerman was acquitted in the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin.

  11. Church Nativity Scene Replaces Jesus with Bloody Trayvon Martin!

A California church sought to make people think about the repercussions of violence, by replacing the baby Jesus with a bloody sculpture of Trayvon Martin in a nativity scene.

What they got instead were threats!

The crèche outside the church Claremont United Methodist Church in Claremont, Calif., includes a mannequin wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with blood spilling from its chest and pooling on the ground

The artist could have focused on the epidemic of youth violence & shown a mannequin atop another mannequin beating the victim’s head into the concrete.

There is no correlation imo of GZ & gun violence, self defense is not a crime, but assault is BUT no one wants to focus on that. It’s more than tiresome to continue to read about ignorance & the MEDIA more than happy to report it.

    • Interesting, I knew I had read on this blog the name Judge Karen Cole… David had provided a link RE the Michael Dunn civil case on the OPEN THREAD DEC 12TH,,, this is the case the Angela Corey is pros herself. Same Judge also. This criminal case is one that caused a lot of Chumpsters to cling to also. Nasty Nat being one. This is the father that was with TrayDad at a benefit (forget which one now)

So Judge Karen Cole is preciding over the civil trial filed by family of deceased, criminal trial is to start soon (*diff judge in criminal) Criminal trial is being tried personally by Angela Corey.

Judge Karen Cole is the judge in Ben K civil trial against Angela Corey.

Interesting to me how many of the same bunch of Chumpsters are involved. Maybe just me, but should be interesting to watch.

      • I’m intrigued by the lack of reporting in the kruidbos case. If the recusal was “for cause” it would be interesting to know what that cause would be. I’d also like to know if Corey’s motion for dismissal based on sovereign immunity has been ruled on.

        • Me too David. As I said up thread, I like everyone else have been busy. The hearing was 18, week before Christmas. I have asked few people and even called myself looking for anything about the hearing, but hadn’t heard anything. ANYTHING lol. Was wondering if it was just because of the holidays that not much was reported on. Hmmm stomping feet… πŸ™‚ inquiring minds want to know.

    • mimi ~ thanks for the information. I feel positive this is the hold up in MOM/West moving forward in their “sanctions” against Corey.

WHATEVER can be unearthed in Ben K.’s case pertaining to TM & with holding pictures by the State Att.’s, etc., will boost the Defenses case if it is more information they haven’t received. These things seem like a slow drip!

      • Yes, I agree. And because there are so many cases, and all the legal stuff has to be I’s dotted ant t’s crossed, unless there is a deal or something I think it usually takes a while. I think that was one of Omara/West big issues, that it was being rushed thru.

  12. I found where this former Fired Pros reached an agreement. I am still looking, but I am thinking that its possible Judge Cole may have been the judge in this lady case. Only speculating because I don’t have a link yet. Sounds like same stuff as Ben K.

    agreement reached

    • mimi ~ a great article on Corey, it’s been awhile since I read it but I enjoyed reading it again.

A reminder from the article that the bad news about Corey is this:

But will Corey ever be disciplined for prosecutorial abuses? It’s unlikely. State attorneys cannot be brought before the bar while they remain in office. Complaints can be filed against Corey, but they will be deferred until she is no longer state attorney. The governor can remove her from office, but otherwise her position β€” and her license β€” are safe.

imo, the only thing can happen to Corey. (1) she could be defeated by a viable candidate that challenges her at her next election. Lawson Lamar held his position as State Prosecutor for ver 20 yrs. BUT was defeated by J. Ashton after KC’s trial. L Lamar forced Ashton/Prosecutor’s to OVER CHARGE in that case in which KC was charged w/1st degree, & they ask for the Death Penalty. Many thought the case was over-charged against, KC & drew criticism, would a manslaughter case have been more appropriate? Maybe some say.

Corey could be reported to the Bar by sitting Judges, but a sitting Judge reported Baez & he skated. I read repeatedly how LE likes Corey because she defends their actions at every turn, even when their wrong.

      From another article on Corey:
Corey’s office proudly touts that in her first fiscal year, conviction rates jumped to more than 90%. Corey also counts it a victory that she sends more people to prison than her predecessor. The tougher sentences, she says, decreases the number of repeat offenders who do short jail stints then commit more crimes when released.

imo, some taxpayer LIKE Corey’s record, they like her conviction rate which bodes in her favor when she runs for re-election.

Depending on how B Kruidbos’ case, Julie Lyncker’s case & MOM/West’s sanctions, could bring monetary Judgments against her office, that could possibly have some reconsidering what Corey is costing the state.

      J Lyncker’s case:
It prompted a scolding by U.S. District Judge Timothy Corrigan and follows similar criticisms in the failed prosecution of George Zimmerman.

This Judge could file a Bar Complaint w/the Fla. Bar as well as the Governor, but is it likely to happen?

  13. I read a lot about the lil 13 yr old girl Jahi McMath. She is the one who has been declared brain dead. My heart hurts for anyone who has lost a loved one, especially a child. In my world of friends who are like family, this past week on Thurs 4 people went to Heaven. Parent of a friend, a friend I grew up with, a niece of an Aunt, and a grown son of a friend I grew up with. Monday and Tuesday I will have to attend funerals. All but one had been ill for a long time. Hard no matter what. But they are no longer suffering, and that is prob the only comfort for these grieving families and friends.

In my reading, I didn’t find any article that the attorney for the family didn’t acknowledge dispute that Jahi was brain dead. I did read that the cap for $ for suing the hospital for negligence or whatever in Cali is $250,000 but one article if the family was able to move her to a long term facility keeping her hooked up on machines, they could sue for Millions for pain and suffering and a bunch of different things.

This is a sad situation, I cant imagine and pray I never have to make a decision like this. In this situation the child is already in the hands of God. She is not ever going to “wake up”. I would hope they allow her to become an organ donor so she can “live on”. The public is only hearing what the parents allow as the hosp is tied due to HIPPA Laws. I have thoughts on the attorney, who it seems is helping give the family false hope. I pray he isn’t doing it for the $ he will get. Sorry for taking up space, just a sad situation like many that seems to be getting exploited.

    • When I see stories like this, I also see money and greed often competing with love and compassion. Terri Schiavo case here in Florida comes to mind. The story became so convolutedβ€Ž with accusations flying everywhere, we will never know for what happened to her or what her wishes were.

During this time, I was seeing Judge George Greer quite regularly about my own daughter’s guardianship case but he never spoke a word about it. IMO the matter got way out of hand when our government intervened.

      • I remb that case, and the Karen Ann Quinlin? case. Just news stuff, I did read a book once on the KQ case long ago. Sadly I agree.

I pray that your guardianship wasn’t because of anything like these. It’s my business, just hope worked out with the best outcome possible, whatever it was. I would think any time the need to have legal representation, is filled with a lot of emotion, one way or another. Like anything, more people involved, more room for range of emotion and different agenda, in more cases than not I would imagine.

        • Florida has some really strict and strange guardianship laws regarding minors. Too much to explain here, but when my youngest daughter was ten, she lost her Mom. All money left to her from her Mom’s estate was subject to our guardianship laws. It’s rather complex, time consuming, and, of course. requires an attorney who must be paid each year to submit an annual report. I refused but Greer sided with me and I filed my own annual reports. He is blind as a bat, and each time he wanted an order written, he dictated it to me and I then typed it up for his signature. Funny.

I do remember Karen Ann Quinlin. The story dominated the news at the time.

            • I raised Jordan Marie alone and think I did a great job. She is now 21, married to a wonderful Christian, that she met in church around age 14. They have both done missionary work in the Dominican and Haiti. She will soon graduate from the University of Kansas. I educated her to be a conservative Constitutionalist and they are now both activists. They both also carry guns. LOL.

              • I am sure you did a wonderful job with her and don’t you have another dtr also? For some reason thinking you said that once.

                • Kara is my first born. She is 36, a conservative like me, but married to a liberal attorney. Go figure. She has blessed me with 2 grand daughters. She is the one who traveled all over the world with me when she was younger… over 2 million frequent flyer miles by age 14. You have quite a memory. Thanks for asking, mimi.

                  • LOL I thought you had another. My memory is quite something not sure what ha ha! I remb you speaking of traveling with one of your daughters and diff places. I remb your youngest being Jordan, when you kept having to add diff stuff to it because of wordpress the time TH wanted us to get WP addresses. LOL lot of people had to change their names. Your welcome, just chatting along. Hope your feeling better. Happy New Year, friend!

      • Looks like the family canceled a fund raiser at a church on Sunday night, but still have their Go Fund or whatever its called, goal was $20K, they are over $21K now, which was opened to pay for airflight cost, but since the place in Cali declined taking her, they are either going to use to take to NY or for legal fees to keep Jahi on the machines. http://www.sfgate.com/health/article/No-medical-center-lined-up-for-Jahi-McMath-s-body-5100141.php?utm_medium=referral&utm_source=t.co

      • jordan2222 ~ I agree w/your thoughts. Indeed, when the government gets involved, things seem to spiral out of control.

I remember the Terri Schiavo case though I didn’t realize it was a Fla. case but it shouldn’t surprise me. I just read a woman gave birth to a “14 pound baby” in Fla. Y I K E S!

    • Reading more on this case, and in the comments, and on the FB page the family has, Monday (today) afternoon, could bring some fools out. Just because.. no way to honor the memory of this child.

      • Sadly I agree with this comment:

        Rank 998
@snippie Anything else is right away deleted and the user blocked. I no longer think for a second that this family really believes she’s still alive.
Just remaining in the spotlight that they’ve thrusts themselves in and cashing in as much as possible. It’s really awful how some of those folks are giving their little $5, $10, $17 bucks and it’s gladly accepted, when there was never a single thing put in place to have her moved.
I’m starting to get pretty pissed. I hope that dirtbag attorney gets disbarred.Β« less

        • the family is out for money, the girl had surgery because she was already having health problems from severe sleep apnea caused by obesity.
The attorney is despicable, but so is the family.

Children’s Hospital is in the top 25 pediatric hospitals in the nation.

          • cassandra ~ I agree w/your assessment from what I’ve read.

There are no winners, sadly a young girl has died but I would bet the family was TOLD by physicians for Jahi to LOSE WEIGHT before she was operated on.

This reminds me of Sybrina Fulton. ALL she wanted was an ARREST, but NO! Sybrina wanted so much more, she & her pack of grifters wanted to continue to LIE & make $$$.

This family ONLY ask for a 2nd opinion from the Court, they got just that w/the finding that Jahi was “brain dead, unable to sustain life breathing on her own without a ventilator, the SAME opinion that had been rendered earlier. At no surprise imo, that has not satisfied the family.

            • agreed, they are following the Crump playbook, control the messaging and change the goal posts all in the hopes of winning $$$.

the mother’s pastor was on TV news last night, pathetic attempt to damage control, the public reaction has mostly been critical of the parents action.

          • Yes, in that SF link in one of my comments, is a link to the Hospitals response, and it was more than just having her tonsils out. She could also have had other medical issues, causing her weight problems. That would be under HIPPA and unable to comment on, but it did tell which procedures were done.

I read an article today where the Mother acknowledges Jahi is brain dead but that her heart is still beating so she is not dead til heart stops. Isnt the Grandmother a nurse? I read about that at first but not much in last few days.

Sad to say, but I wonder if they will return the $ that people have donated or if they will start a foundation? Seems no matter who gets into the media, end up having a foundation… I feel bad for the other patients, their families and the employees who have to go to work and are being put under scrutiny. Sad case all the way around.

          • I read that the cap is $250,000 in Cali for Neglect but that if she is “kept on life support” the fam can sue for multi things

            • mimi ~ My family sued for “negligent/wrongful” death in the death of my sister, the Physician was loaded on loratab/alcohol & tested positive & was fired from the hospital, she died from inappropriate care by the Physician, she lingered 7 days before all her organs shut down. I ordered an autopsy, another Physician reported the negligence, we hired an attorney.

It’s very difficult to sue a Physician for wrongful death, FIRST, a case has to PASS a counsel from all over the State that is usually made up of 10-12 Physicians that determines if negligence was involved OR if other factors contributed to her death. IF the families case DOESN’T pass the Physician counsel, you can’t sue. Suing Doctors is different than other “wrongful death suits,” you can’t just file suit & it winds through Civil Court, it has to be APPROVED by the Physicians Board BEFORE a family can sue or move forward.

IF the family had been warned about Jahi’s weight, etc., that will go against the family, we’ll have to wait & see what the autopsy shows if it comes to that.

    • Here is comment that has what was done and link to legal filing>

@lovefelines The family continues to claim it was “a simple tonsillectomy.” The hospital is not allowed to say what the procedure was due to patient privacy laws. The hospital’s lawyers found a way to sidestep that by reporting on the medical procedures performed as part of one of their court filings. The filing says the procedure was “a complicated surgical procedure consisting of an adenotonsillectomy, uvulopalatopharyngoplasty, and submucous resection of bilateral inferior turbinates.” I had to look those up. All three are in the lower part of the inside of the nose.

Adenotonsillectomy is the removal of very back part of the nasal cavity. See the picture on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adenoiditis. The broight green area was removed.

Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty is the removal of the upper part of the back of the mouth area. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty for pictures of before/after.

The inside of the nose has three layers of chambers with each layer divided into a left and right half. The inferior turbinates are the lower layer. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nasal_concha has pictures though they are not clear. This work appears to be the most complex of the three.

To sum it up in plain English – it was a big nasal and throat reaming job intended to open the passageways up enough that a 200+ pound child like Jahi would not snore.

      • Jahi McMath could be removed from a ventilator at Children’s Hospital of Oakland at 5 p.m. Monday under Alameda County Superior Court Judge Evelio Grillo’s current order. The girl’s family was pinning its hopes on a New York facility to care for the child after two California care homes withdrew offers to accept her.

On Sunday, the hospital said it had not heard from the New York facility, or any other, about a transfer.
“We need to be able to talk to the other facility to understand what it is they are capable of doing,” Cynthia Chiarappa, a hospital spokeswoman, said. “This is not transferring an individual in a vegetative state, but a dead body.”

The hospital also said it would need to confirm there is “lawful transportation” included in any plan to transfer Jahi, and written permission from the coroner.

My QUESTION: Even IF the family was successful in having Jahi moved to NY at great expense, WHO is going to stay in NY w/her since she is a minor for the duration, WHO is going to pay the medical bills? It’s not just the transporting of the body that is at issue, it’s all the other expenses the family will incur, it’s expensive to visit NY, it would seem a family member would have to live there, IDK.

        • I am wondering about the insurance. Having heard so many horror stories about what insurance doesn’t cover, how this will play out. I wonder if she has private insurance or Medicaid? That is personal info, and not my business, just curious because of other stories. Interesting for sure. Maybe we need to get a policy with that company.

          • mimi ~ I read a comment by another physician that is not on Jahi’s case state: “insurance doesn’t pay on a deceased individual.”

imo, Medicaid probably too wouldn’t pay since the Coroner has declared her “deceased.”

  14. Just read this. Guess possible, but you would think if you were wrapping a hoodie, that a needle with out a cap would be kinda obvious. Have heard of a lot of weird stuff tho. Guess that’s why we hear, its out of the ordinary?. I don’t see how Walmart would be liable tho, family considering contacting a lawyer to get the boys medical bills paid. (read that in another article)

    • Funny, but the needles in both syringes in the picture are capped. Was the needle sticking out through the cap? Was the cap loose in the pocket? If so, who put the cap back on? This doesn’t pass the smell test.

      • The article said one of the syringes wasn’t capped. They just showed a picture of 2 capped syringes. They might not even be the same syringes. That’s quite strange. Wonder if the syringes were put in the pockets maliciously or if someone returned the shirt after wearing it and didn’t remember the syringes. Either way, Walmart will have to pay a big price even though it’s not really their fault.

      • Doesn’t pass for me either. And I bet Walmart fights it, how can they prove it was there when they bought it. Especially if they claim they didn’t know. SMH

  15. Has anyone read anything about nut job Dr. Shiping Bao’s 100 million dollar lawsuit for “wrongful termination?” In checking, I can’t find anything since Sept. 12 or 13, 2013. I too wonder if he has found gainful employment since I can’t imagine anyone would hire him if they saw GZ’s trial & his testimony.

      • Plain Ole Dave ~ thanks for checking on Dr. Boa for us, I’d be surprised if he is employed, but stranger things has happened.

I guess his case, if not dismissed, will crawl through the Civil Suit Courts like all the other.

      • Nettles ~ again, this is the decision of GZ, he is an adult, he is making the choice to see OR not see SS.

imo, send GZ a message if you want to interject your opinion, maybe he will consider it, OR, maybe he won’t but imo, it’s a waste of time to contact SS.

I don’t waste my time w/O’Connor, it just gets my blood pressure up.

        • I hear you Art.

I’m also hearing that George has been getting an earful from a number of people about continuing to see Samantha.

Samatha, it appears, has convinced George, it was all her mother’s doing. If he believes that, I want to sell George some swamp land in Florida. Trust me, it will be a steal!!

Christi is amusing as hell. I thank her for getting the police video. Gives a much rounder understanding of where Samantha is coming from. She didn’t appear to be intimidated by the police officer (as she later claimed). Her accusation that she couldn’t phone anyone doesn’t pass the smell test when you see she has her phone with her. Was it my imagination or was she quite interested to read what was being said online. I think it’s Samantha who wants George to stay in the news.

          • Nettles ~ That’s fantastic news, I’m glad to read your comment. I worry that GZ doesn’t listen to many people but IDK. I always considered my parent’s opinions as I knew they would never do anything but try to protect me, point out their fears, love me unconditionally, or play “devils advocate” in a situation that I refused to see clearly or was in denial.

When I got older, (older than GZ,) my parent’s ONLY offered opinions when I ask. I hope GZ is listening to his parent’s, RZ Jr., Gracie, GZ’s relationships may come or go BUT he will always have his family!

  16. Media ~ Train wrecks…. Smh, cant make this stuff up!

    “Allyson Scerri, Founder and President
Allyson Scerri has worked with the public for three decades as owner of a thriving beauty salon and successful hair and make-up platform artist. Her work as a social advocate and leader in the health field began years ago when she started a support group for women with infertility problems.”

    The owner is a hairdresser.

      • Wow. I have seen hundreds of handwritten progress notes (thankfully, most are dictated so can be read in typed form on the computer system), and this is the first one I have ever been able to read. Seriously, the first one. I’ve always been amazed that MDs weren’t forced decades ago to either learn to type or dictate everything – imagine the poor pharmacists having to translate MD scribbles on prescription pads into the correct medicine.

        • I know it was pretty good! I have a friend who is a Pharmacist and its kinda amazing to talk to him. I remb when he was in school. They have to know EVERY MED AND EVERY THING USED FOR, SIDE EFFECTS, And there are SOO many drugs that are almost spelled alike (dtr is an RN) and have read in her PDR bunch of times. Scary if you think about it haha. I think on meds, most is written in latin isn’t it? Wonder if Docs take a class on how to make their handwriting ummm different? lol so not forged? but I agree, this was pretty plain to read.

        • I can still get in and hopes he does not mind that I post this:

          Stupid is As Stupid Does

DannyWarrior WordPress is CLOSED. Danny has distanced himself from this User name, Subject, and Support of any prior associations due to the immature nature, lack of want of social resolve, as well as George Zimmerman’s unwillingness to quell any social animosity on his behalf. DannyWarrior is moving on as an Advocate in these areas to better subjects that are an example of self defense, the legal system, Constitutional rights, and Govermental corruption. There are those who are willing, able, and capable to not enage in frivoulous immature, reckless, and self serving advocacy.

To the extent of my online exsistence, I never had involved myself in such fringe groups. To my benefit I now am aware of what to avoid and what reserach to do in order to maintain a civil, mature, balanced web group.

I will not ever put much emphasis on certain news feeds as that in this instance was overwhelming and apperas to be all the narratives all parties sought. I paid much attention to the youth and what I saw was a distrubing trend in what their elders fed through the social media aspect. I feel the youth was washed out on how THEY viewed the GZ case.

I saw the ability to brige a gap being burned between the youth and the older of those to the net. More division of those white southerners and those eastwards. And many many other anti–gun advocates supporting GZ.

My attempts to discuss those topics in the small group I attended for almost a year was washed out by racial discussion. Not a suprise. But my topics were of interest not on social media by gun proponents. Proof is in the legislative talks. While some where busy race baiting, some of us wrote letters, spoke to Congress, were on boards going over law.

Besides it was well known early on, the NRA refused to support George Zimmerman. They never said why. However, a brief history lesson would let any self defense, gun owner know, shooting Trayvon Martin was avoidable. No responsible gun owner would have ever put themselves in THAT position. Internally, the discussions remained on a repeal on these publicself defense laws just because an overzealous off duty watch guy was overpowered. Leaving the safety of your car after you just reported someone who was not acting right, may be high, is holding something and in the end was doing nothing wrong….. Not a HERO my friends. Not the poster boy for self defense. Stupidity yeah. Wannabe and got his wish super Hero yeah.

What would GZ be IF the media, or the families, or attorneys, or the State NEVER mentioned race?

  17. I am having a fantastic holiday season! One of the best I’ve ever had. I hope you are experiencing a great holiday season too!

    • Wonderful choices, Annette.

You… and all of us… are so blessed to have made so many new friends this past year from so many different places on our planet.. many of whom are much more than fair weather passersby. We have shared ups and downs but we almost always reunite as a team in spite of extreme controversy.

This is my favorite new website of 2013. I don’t want to leave anyone out so let me say that my favorite new friends start with Annette and those like her.

      Come on back home DannyWarrior.

  18. HAPPY NEW YEARS EVER~~~ I am off to par…tay with some fun little munchkins!!!! Please be safe all you! Best wishes for love and happiness in the NEW YEAR! Hugs from this year into the next!!! Mimi

  19. Coming to youtube – PNN : Pirate News Network featuring your host Plain Ole Dave. Just finished designing my virtual studio and added my logo to the news desk and designed a screen holder for the monitor. Just waiting on my green screen so I can start reporting the news!

    • How is the money actually keeping her on life support? At some point, the hospital should have no obligation to pay for anything if she is brain dead. How much would it cost to keep her at the hospital, assuming the hospital would agree to it?

Sorry for my ignorance, but Phil is teaching young guys how and when to find a wife and it’s more interesting to me. I had forgotten that they should be trained to pluck your ducks and then cook them too.

Maybe he will start some online classes about “How to train a wife.” that the libs will love but many Southern boys know how to do that already.

  20. i do not mean to be cruel, but the animal kingdom knows when it’s best to cut one of their young ones loose. No court orders are required. I personally have a living will and now plan to update it with more detailed specifics about what to do and not do and when. Life is for the living.
